A weekend of Jane Austen-inspired activities with the Friday evening talk: Cents and Other Things that Matter in Jane Austen’s Novels (explaining money, travel, the postal system and other things important in Sense and Sensibility), a Regency-style dinner party with a chance to learn to play whist,  English afternoon tea with a talk about taking tea during Jane Austen’s time, an optional sleigh ride, and Sunday brunch with a quiz on Sense and SensibilityGovernorsHousewinter-hor. Stay for the weekend or come for individual activities. Advance reservations required.

Weekend rates are $445.00 for singles, $415.00 per person for doubles, $395.00 per person for triples, and include two nights’ lodging, Friday evening’s talk with dessert, full breakfast on Saturday morning, Saturday afternoon tea, Saturday dinner and book discussion or dancing, early Sunday Continental breakfast, and the Jane Austen quiz during Sunday brunch. Add any weekdays immediately before and/or after a Jane Austen weekend and get the room for half the regular rate. 9% Vermont tax is additional
